Making Every Experience, Yours

How to spend a week in Cambodia

Cambodia, an up and coming Asian holiday destination, has everything to offer - from luxury resorts, historical sites and delicious food! A few days is simply not enough to discover the beautiful country: we recommend at least spending a week there in 2 of the major cities - Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

Where to Stay?

Phnom Penh : Raffles Le Royal Hotel

Siem Reap: Anantara Angkor Resort

When to go? November to March

What to do?

Day 1: Check-in to Raffles Le Royal Hotel and enjoy a poolside lunch of authentic Vietnamese food. After settling in, take a walk to Wat Phnom - a Buddhist Temple built in 1372. After, take a walk along the riverside path where you’ll find plenty of bars/restaurants/shops - a perfect way to discover the city’s nightlife.

Day 2: Drive up to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum in your private car with an English Speaking tour guide by Raffles Hotel. Continue soaking up the city’s history at the Royal Palace in the afternoon before enjoying lunch at Chinese House - a popular eatery in the city. Return to your hotel, and relax by the poolside. Enjoy dinner at the elegant Restaurant Le Royal - just a few steps away from your room.

Day 3: Start your day with a shopping spree at Russian Market, where you are sure to find the perfect knick-knacks and souvenirs to bring home with you. Continue the spree at Central Market - an indoor mall built-in 1937. Take the rest of the afternoon to yourself - perhaps enjoying a local Cambodian massage. Head over to FCC for a quick bite and riverside views before dinner at Iza (Rosewood Hotel) and then ending your night at Sora, the gorgeous sky bar.

Day 4: Enjoy your breakfast and a quick dip in the gorgeous hotel pool before driving up to Siem Reap. Check-in to Anantara Angkor Resort and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Wake up at 4 AM and enjoy a sunrise tour of Angkor Wat, a wonder of the world! Head back to Anantara for a replenishing breakfast before heading out to see the marvellous setting of the Tomb Raider - Ta Prohm Temple! Spend the rest of the evening at leisure in the comforts of your resort before getting decked up and heading to Malis Restaurant, serving up authentic Khmer cuisine in a beautiful setting.

Day 6: Start your day early and hike up to Kulen National Park where you will be rewarded with a majestic waterfall you can quickly cool down in. After having a picnic lunch up there, head back to your hotel for a relaxing fully body massage at the Anantara Spa.

Day 7: Get in a quick breakfast before checking out and heading home after a wholesome trip!

Who to go with?

We recommend going with your family, it is a wonderful chance for you to relax in the comfort of your resorts as well as give the kids a chance to pick up on some important world history lessons!
